After surgery you should have been sent home with something to help you with that. As for non-surgical swelling, I found that brewed tea bags kept in the refrigerator or cucumber slices usually help with swelling when applied to the affected area. How to to reduce smelling of the eyes lip, after surgen. Nothing helps me, i have eczema i use like 5 different creams an take about 2 liquid medications please help?
i use protopic and ellidel creams and i take zertec and beynedryl liquid medicationsNothing helps me, i have eczema i use like 5 different creams an take about 2 liquid medications please help?
Here are a few pointers which I hope will help you! :)
1.Always wear protective gloves when using ANY cleaning products at all such as dish washing detergent, bleach ect.
2. Do not put your hands in water more than necessary. Frequent washing when not necessary can dry out your skin and take away natural oils.
3.Use only very gentle moisterizers without fragrance such as cetaphil.
3.When I used too many creams it only made my hands worse but when I used the min amount and kept getting my hands wet to a minimum, they healed.Nothing helps me, i have eczema i use like 5 different creams an take about 2 liquid medications please help?
hi, i too have allergy like symtoms on the skin, rashes, itchy parts, etc. It first broke out on the front of my legs and has also been in other areas. The only med that helps these symptoms - given to me by my dermatologist is prednisone, it ususally starts to clear up in about a week, but since this medicine is not really good for you, we usually wait until it gets really bad. I hate to disagree with someone elses answer but bathing too much is bad!! Removes your skin natural oils - per my dermatologist
A cream called Cleavers ointment helped me,try it.
WHAT ARE YOU BATHING WITH? i USE CETIPHIL AND WHEN I WASH MY SONS HAIR I MAKE SURE TO RISE IT OFF HIS BODY .. MAYBE ITS YOUR SHAMPOO OR LOTION...
You need to be cleansed from the inside out. Try apple cider vinegar mixed with water. Read the websites.
Eczema?
It may be hard to believe: One person had eczema for 12 years and had tried everything imaginable, nothing helped. Until she took a Color*MedicineTM class, and the colored light was directed on her face during almost the entire two days of the class, first one hour Magenta (which she needed), then Turquoise.
Everybody in class saw the miracle: The skin around her mouth lost the scales and hardness more and more and became soft and renewed. By the end of the second day, the skin around her mouth was totally renewed, merely a bit more pink in color than the other parts of the skin.
Color*MedicineTM is harmless when used as intended, highly effective and inexpensive. All one needs is a set of Dinshah color filters and a reading lamp with a self made filter holder attached.
It is probably important in such case to keep the Turquoise color shining on the affected area for several hours, so that the unhealthy skin frequenzy may be entrained by the healthy skin frequency from the lamp. Otherwise and generally, a color should only be given for an hour at a time. Turquoise is an exception.
It is Healing with the Speed of LightTM.

You may want to repeat the miracle. Why not?

If you have eczema of the skin, use cortizone cream for the itching and dry skin relief. Also, do not use anything on your skin that contains perfume. Use hypoallergenic lotions, skin products, etc. Use ONLY Dove or Camay bath soap. My daughter and I suffer eczema of the skin and these are all recommendations by our Doctor. With daily care of the above mentioned, your skin will feel so much better!
Perhaps you have an underlying condition causing the eczema that hasn't been properly diagnosed? Celiac disease can cause a severe skin rash, and other food intolerances can result in skin disorders as well.
I have eczema too. You need to find out what triggers it. Like foods, detergent that use around the house and work, Body cleansers and creams including the soap you use to wash your hands in. Hot or cold weather, stress and anxiety these things all can trigger eczema then you can learn how to control it.
Try changing your diet. Remove all the obvious things that people are allergic to and see if the eczema goes away. Milk, soy, nuts (peanuts, pecans, walnuts), eggs, tomatoes, chocolate and strawberries.
Also, bathe several times a day with plain water (no soaps), if you need to wash use a mild soap like Neutraphil, blot your skin dry and apply a good moisturizing cream like Eucerin (again no perfumes). I highly recommend Skin E Dip which is available on-line. Just do a yahoo search.
Add essential fatty acids into your diet. Borage oil, evening primrose oil, or flax oil work well. Add vitamin E 400 IU to your diet once daily.
If you find your skin clears up by doing all the above, start adding the foods you removed back in one at a time over a weeks's time. If you break out, you know what is causing it.
Have you ever tried Melaleuca's product called Renew. I have met a couple of people that say it has worked miricles. Melaleuca makes a lot of products that contain tea tree oil and it has been recommended by dermatologist for use to treat eczema. If you google eczema melaleuca you will read many stories on how it has worked for others. I know one person whos daughter had eczema really bad and she switched completely to melaleuca products and she hasn't had an outbreak in 5 years. It is risk free to try and has a money back guarentee if it doesn't work for you. If you live in the U.S. I may be able to send you a sample. You may email me if you'd like.
try the lotion called CUREL in the blue bottle. you can buy it at wal-mart ,target r any other store. GOOD LUCK

COLLEGE STUDENT= BROKE ALL THE TIMIE LOL. but seriously any advice is appreciated thanksI have really bad acne and dark acne sores. how do i get rid of this problem without medications and creams???
Hello, broke college student! Sounds like you're suffering from over-chloronated water.
For face water, use ONLY distilled water - that will cut down on some of the chloronation irritation that could be making your acne worse. Just your face, warm it in the microwave, all you need is about 3 cups for washing and rinsing your face. Costs about $2 a gallon.
Use only natural soaps - this is the only expensive part. About $3 a bar.
Bottle of witch hazel to wipe your skin to reduce the bacteria that causes acne. About $1.
Moisturizer that feeds your skin and doesn't clog pores, just use a good vegetable oil such as extra-virgin olive oil, sunflower oil, or jojoba. All you need is a tiny bottle. Four ounces should last you about a year. Just rub tiny bits on areas that are normally dry. About $2.00
Food, oatmeal and honey to thicken and hydrate the layer of dead skin cells that are a barrier for bacteria, retain moisture and protect you from dermal absorption of environmental chemicals (pollution). Oatmeal $2, honey $2
The recipes for these ingredients is located here:

Enjoy cheap (under $15) and natural skin care. It's a wonderful thing...I have really bad acne and dark acne sores. how do i get rid of this problem without medications and creams???

Does anyone know any good wart medications or wart creams that work good and fast? HELP!?
do not tell me to see a doctor please.Does anyone know any good wart medications or wart creams that work good and fast? HELP!?
I used to have this problem on my hands. I just got an over the counter wart remover (compound W). The secret is after you put it on the wart, place a drop on a band aid and place the band aid over the wart. It is gone in half the time depending on the size. Worked every time for me. I didn't like the wart removers that came with the band aid type covers. I found real band aid with another drop of wart remover works great. It turns little pale at first, but goes away fast. Try it.Does anyone know any good wart medications or wart creams that work good and fast? HELP!?

hope it helps :-)
Dr. Scholls worked quickly for my mom.
Compound W is supposed to be very good.
And of course going to the doctor to have them freeze it off is the easiest and most effective. ;)
Wartner works really well. It freezes the wart, but is a bit uncomfortable the last few seconds. It's worth it though. I think it costs in the neighborhood of $20.
Duct tape for a week!
i also read about using duct tape.
FYI
All wart-removers contain the active ingredient Salcycic Acid. (Same thing used in some otc acne medications.)
I've used Bazooka gel on my thumb and fingers and it worked! I used the double strength. It's great! No mess, no plaster, no fuss! active ingredient is salicylic acid. I think it was either 12% of 25%. No prescription needed. Just OTC. Good luck.
Good old fashion C-4
An old ancient remedy for warts has the following ingredients
1. The juice from a dogs eye (1/8 ounce)
2. 5 smashed June bugs
3. A toddlers filthy diaper
4. Dried vomit (4 grams)
5. Cat urine (1 gallon)
Mix it on your nasty, ugly wart and wait for it to go away.
get the over the counter ';freeze off'; stuff at Wal-Mart or any drug or food store. works fast, is the same as what the doctors use and is much cheaper, however ........ this is only for regular warts. If you're talking about venereal warts you gotta see an MD.
Back in the old days they would use hot bacon grease and a razor blade. It worked but ............

The medication I take is not compatible with anything including food, creams, herbs, spices, lotions, etc.?
I have been told that the medication I take affects everything, and I can prove it by my INR tests each time they are done. There is no other medication I can have that is strong enough so I have to stay on the anticoagulant, or die. I have been to specialists, many Dr, and its the same answer every time. So there is nothing else I can do but eat very small amounts of any food. and not use creams, lotions, or take herbs etc. Im taking rats poison (warfarin)The medication I take is not compatible with anything including food, creams, herbs, spices, lotions, etc.?
I think you've misunderstood what you've been told. Either that or the person that told you is uneducated.
Only foods containing Vitamin K affect INR levels. Topical lotions/creams do not. Some herbs do interact with warfarin. Many drugs also interfere with INR.
I frequently prescribe warfarin to patients after surgery. A pharmacist always tells them about what he/she can eat.
On return visit, not one has complained about not being able to eat a good diet or use topical creams, etc.

Is there an oral medication that one can take for the treament of scabies/body lice or are creams just used?
There is no oral treatment. both of these conditions are parasitic infestation of skin. Oral drugs that would be able to cause your skin to generate that level of toxicity would be deadly. Creams and shampoos are the only treatment. do wash everything in hot water ASAP as you can re-infest yourself if you do not. scabies are actually a rather dangerous parasite and you would want to see a doctor right away to get a perscription stregnth treatment for it.Is there an oral medication that one can take for the treament of scabies/body lice or are creams just used?
Doctor. Is there an oral medication that one can take for the treament of scabies/body lice or are creams just used?
No oral medication. Try Quell shampoo and use it twice, now and again in 2 weeks. Wash linens and towels in hot water, now. Very contagious.

to my knowledge there are just the creams like elimite and permethrin that you put on head to foot and sleep in then wash off. boil all your stuff or throw it out. go to the doctor. best of luck
